AIR   DISTRIBUTION   SYSTEM   CLEANING
(DUCT   SYSTEM)

1) To clean the duct system, we use a large HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuum and a compressed air system. The HEPA is a sophisticated vacuum system that uses three stages of filtration and renders the exhausted air 99.97 percent particulate free air. These are the type of filtration devices that are used in hospitals for surgical clean air. The compressed air system uses special mechanical tools, brushes and air hoses that are designed specifically for cleaning the duct system.

2) The air distribution system is put under negative pressure that prevents contaminants from being released into the occupied space.

3) All supply and return grills are removed and cleaned.

4) A compressed air system is used to power the mechanical tools and brushes through the air distribution system and to dislodge the contaminants.

5) The combination of the negative pressure that is created with the HEPA vacuum and the use of the compressed air system, propels contaminants through the duct system into the HEPA vacuum.

— In cleaning duct systems it is important that proper equipment and procedures be followed to avoid cross-contamination. This occurs when pollutants are not contained and disposed of properly and brought from one job site to another. We use top of the line Abatement Technology Equipment and follow a strict sanitation protocol.

AIR HANDLING UNIT

The blower motor, wheel and housing are removed and disassembled for chemical cleaning.

The interior and all components including the air chamber and plenum are thoroughly cleaned and vacuumed with a HEPA vacuum.

EVAPORATOR COIL CLEANING

An extraction system is hooked up to the condensate drain for continuous removal of all contaminants during the cleaning process.

The evaporator coil, drain pan and condensate drain are chemically cleaned using an alkaline foaming coil cleaner that is acid-free, with biodegradable surfactants.

The evaporator coil is cleaned and flushed using specialized equipment to remove all contaminants.
